Hong Kong Pools

No matter your swimming skill or leisure preference, Hong Kong pools provide a relaxing way to spend your free time. Many hotels feature both indoor and outdoor pools for your convenience; some even provide food and drinks on their pool decks! Depending on which hotel it may require a nominal fee to use their facilities.

Swimming can be an excellent way to both cool off and stay fit. Swimming helps maintain weight by improving cardiovascular endurance and increasing muscular strength; while also improving mood, circulation, stress relief, and back pain relief. But remember: Swimming doesn’t just need to be seen as exercise: It can also be an enjoyable social activity!

Public pools tend to get very crowded during the day and noise levels can become excessive; additionally, Hong Kong air can make your skin extremely dry, potentially leading to flaky or cracked patches on the body. Therefore, it’s advisable to bring along both towels and sunscreen for safety.

There are various types of pools, but most are constructed using vinyl, fiberglass or concrete (gunite and shotcrete). These materials are applied directly onto frames in any shape you can imagine and once set can be covered with plaster to give the pool its final look. Most homeowners opt for gunite/shotcrete pools due to their superior durability compared to other options and as they will last a lifetime.

Swimming in Hong Kong is relatively affordable. Public pools throughout the city all have various prices and hours; you can view a list of these on the government website under “Swimming Pools.”

Public pools typically feature two 50m pools and a shallow area for children, as well as changing rooms and snack bars for convenience. Entrance fees average around HK$19 per session with three sessions available daily between 6:30am-12:00, 1:00-6:00 and 7:00-10:00pm. Lockers are provided and visitors can either insert a HK$5 coin (refundable) into a slot to obtain a key or lock their locker with their own padlock.

K11 Artus offers another luxurious pool option to visitors staying in Hong Kong. This sophisticated serviced apartment-hotel features an outdoor pool measuring 25 meters in length made with luxurious turquoise Balinese stone. Indulge in breathtaking city views while unwinding here! Check Klook for great offers to take advantage of this top-rated Hong Kong pool.

Day 5 of pool play at the World Lacrosse Women’s U20 Championship was packed with matches that could reshape the playoff field in some way, with six games scheduled for Monday alone! As we prepare to enter into our last two days of pool play!
